EXPERIENCE

Interactive Career Simulations
The NSLC on International Business uses an interactive approach to learning that gives you an opportunity to immerse yourself in the challenging complexities of international trade. You will work with your team to take charge of a country’s development. You will create economic and social institutions, manage your country’s resources and go out into the world as you test the waters of international trade. Once you understand the basics of global trade, you will tackle the challenges of globalization as you step into the boardroom of a multinational corporation. You will need to pull your team together as you confront the daily trials and tribulations facing your global business.

Meet Business Professionsals
While at the NSLC, you will meet with and learn from the leaders in international business and development. In past years NSLC students have heard from special guest speakers such as the President of the World Bank and top executives from businesses and organizations like the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations Development Program, Nestle, US Airways and the Business Roundtable. You will experience globalization firsthand during exclusive visits to business and government institutions. In past years, NSLC students have gone behind-the-scenes at:

LEARN

At the NSLC you will enjoy college-level lectures on the fundamentals of international economics. The lecture series will give you a foundation of knowledge that will be vital to your success not only at the conference but in your future career in the fields of international business and development. LEAD

At the heart of the NSLC is a leadership curriculum designed to build concrete leadership skills that will help you succeed. From the beginning of your program you will learn to work as a team during an exciting Ropes Challenge Course. Interactive lectures and small-group workshops will give you an opportunity to build upon your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. Leadership topics tailored to the International Business program include:
