At the National Student Leadership Conference on Sports & Entertainment Management, you will have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to guide the career of a star athlete or entertainer and manage one of the world’s premier sporting events or music festivals.

The NSLC on Sports & Entertainment Management uses an interactive approach to learning that gives you an opportunity to immerse yourself in the challenging complexities of the sports and entertainment worlds. You and your team will experience the ups and downs of managing the career of a star athlete or entertainer during a realistic client management simulation. You will control your client’s fortunes as you negotiate contracts, land sponsorship deals, and manage public opinion.

While at the NSLC, you will meet with and learn from leaders in the world of sports and entertainment management. In past years, NSLC students have heard from special guest speakers including top executives and managers from the International Olympic Committee, D.C. United and the Staten Island Yankees.

At the heart of the NSLC is a leadership curriculum designed to build concrete leadership skills that will help you succeed. From the beginning of your program you will learn to work as a team during an exciting Ropes Challenge Course. Interactive lectures and small-group workshops will give you an opportunity to build upon your strengths and minimize your weaknesses.
