Workshops include: Scriptwriting Workshop Directing & Acting for the Camera Workshop Animation Lab Editing Film Lab 30-Second Film Festival Fun & Engaging Trips & ToursAn important part of the NSLC middle school programs is seeing the sites around our nation’s capital. These trips are designed as both sightseeing tours and educational trips specifically tailored to the area of film and animation. Students are escorted on all field trips and stay within their TA Group or other supervised groups. Trips may include: American UniversityARTECHOUSE | Animation Studio | The Smithsonian Institute | Lincoln, Jefferson, FDR and MLK Monuments Leadership DevelopmentAt the heart of the NSLC is a leadership curriculum designed to build concrete leadership skills that will help you succeed. Interactive lectures and small-group workshops will give you an opportunity to build upon your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. Leadership topics tailored to the Film & Animation program include: Personality Styles and Group Dynamics Conflict Resolution Negotiation Public Speaking Intrapersonal Communication Tuition Program tuition includes housing, all on-campus meals, course materials, academic expenses, and activities. Tuition also includes chartered, air-conditioned motor coaches for off-campus briefings and tours.
