UPDATED: May 29, 2023
The National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) is committed to providing our world-class summer enrichment programs in an environment that supports the health and well-being of all participants, while taking every appropriate action to prevent the spread of COVID.
With over 30 years of experience in providing summer programming, the NSLC is well-prepared to make the necessary adjustments to our programming to adhere to the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), our university partners, and local health authorities.
The NSLC successfully held its summer programs on-campus in 2021 and 2022. We will continue to monitor the situation related to COVID, along with the evolving public health guidelines and best practices related to hosting events and residential summer programs in 2023.

Risk-Free Enrollment
We know that circumstances can sometimes change. With that in mind, we’ve made enrollment for 2023 risk-free. You can cancel your enrollment for any reason by April 1, 2023 and receive a full refund of all tuition paid!
Students who opt to transfer their deposit to Pre-Registration will lock in 2023 tuition rates for 2024. Any funds eligible for return in 2023 will remain refundable through February 1, 2024.
Safety Updates
The NSLC is continuously monitoring public health guidelines in preparation for the summer. We will communicate any updates or changes to our programs to enrolled students as quickly as possible. Final policies and procedures related to COVID will be made available at least 30 days prior to the start of each summer session on your myNSLC page.
Vaccination Policy
COVID-19 vaccination and booster policies for Summer 2023 will vary by each individual partner university.
Currently, all NSLC locations are not requiring COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
Enrolled students and parents should refer to myNSLC throughout the spring to view the most up-to-date information related to campus COVID-19 policy. New information will be posted to your profile as we receive it from the university.
Masks and Social Distancing
Students will be expected to follow all safety protocols, which may include the wearing of face masks and social distancing. Failure to comply with established guidelines will result in dismissal from the program. Protocols will be based on the recommendations on public health guidelines and the requirements of our host universities.
Housing
The NSLC, along with our university partners, will take every appropriate measure to provide students with a safe environment to learn and experience life on a college campus. Specific housing protocols and arrangements (housing students in single rooms, doubles, or suites, for example) will be set by location in conjunction with our university partners. All specific housing information will be updated on myNSLC as soon as it becomes available.
Program Modifications
Your NSLC program includes many trips, tours and site visits throughout your destination city. We will continuously monitor the availability of such trips along with the safety procedures related to group visits and make changes to our programming as required.
Cancellation Policy
We are mindful of the challenges caused by COVID. For that reason, as we did in 2022, we have relaxed our cancellation deadlines for 2023 to ensure that enrolled students will not forfeit payments in the wake of uncertain times. Students may cancel their registration for any reason by April 1, 2023 and receive a full refund. In the event a university publishes their policies after our refund deadline, we will address any enrollment concerns on a case-by-case basis.
If NSLC is forced to close on-campus programming at a certain location due to COVID, enrolled students will be notified and given the option to transfer to an open location, pre-register for 2024, or cancel with a full refund. Click here to review our full Cancellation and Refund Policy.
