We will collect personal identification information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us.
We do not sell personal information
We will never sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any other companies or organizations.
Information about children
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected information about a child under 13 without your consent, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may delete their information.
How we use your personal information
- To respond to your customer service requests or send program updates
We use the personal contact information you provide us to mail or email information you request and to respond to your inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. We may use the email address you provide to send updates on your program.
- To send periodic marketing emails pertaining to your interests
We may use your email to send information about our programs which we think may be of interest to you. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you may do so using the appropriate link in the email or by contacting us at email@example.com.
- To process payments
We collect and process payment information from you when you purchase services from NSLC, including credit card numbers and billing information, using third party PCI-compliant service providers.
- To facilitate our programs
If you enroll in one of our programs, we use your personal information only to the extent necessary to facilitate your program experience. This includes sharing some of your information with trusted partners who provide services for our programs, such as our host universities.
- To evaluate job applications and hire summer employees
We use the personal information you submit on our job application to evaluate your application and determine your eligibility for hiring.
How we protect your information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information.
How long we retain your information
We retain the personal information that you provide us as long as we consider it potentially useful in contacting you about our programs and then we securely delete the information. Sensitive personal information from enrolled students and staff members is securely deleted each year after our summer sessions.
What rights you have over your information
At any time, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal information we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal information we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Non-personal identification information
We may collect non-personal identification information about you whenever you interact with our website. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about your means of connection to our website, such as the operating system, Internet Service Provider, and other similar information.
