At the NSLC on Political Action & Public Policy, you’ll immerse yourself in the functions of Congress, exploring how federal laws are written, debated, and enacted. Take on the role of a U.S. Senator as you draft legislation, navigate committee negotiations, and experience firsthand how competing interests shape public policy. Alongside your peers, you’ll also explore the fast-paced world of campaigns, from strategy and messaging to media and voter engagement, gaining a deeper understanding of what drives political leadership in a democracy.

NSLC provides an immersive pre-college experience that prepares students for life beyond high school, allowing them to study in university classrooms, learn to navigate a campus, and experience living with roommates. All students are required to reside in supervised campus dormitories and will be provided meals through campus dining services.
